Yate Hockey club look to follow the EH guidance for safe hockey. Regardless of the type of activity taking place creating a safe environment for our club members is essential.

 

Yate Hockey club recommends that all coaches and members take the time to read the England Hockey policies and guidance provided.

Yate Hockey Club as a member of the Yate Outdoor Sports complex has access to an on-site defibrillator located on the outside wall to the office which is 50 m away from the Astro. The club recommends that coaches also access the free UK Coaching course  for sudden cardiac arrest.

All coaches at the club are also checked for first aid currency by the Welfare officer and is recorded annually.
