Adams Steve Mason and Martin Emery controlling the play and feeding balls through to
Nomads forward line, who were winning short corners and having many chances before Will
Davies opened the scoring from a great move.
Old Bristolians then started to find their feet with ex Yate Player Mike Taylor controlling the
play and were challenging well in the middle of the park and breaking the ball down well,
taking full advantage of the hard work Old Bristolians equalised with some nice passing and
a very fast wing man, the score now 1-1.
Yate Nomads, with some neat play from youngsters Theo Sharman, Hayden Constable,

OB’s goal area, and neat play from Paul Anderson and Adam Powell created another short
corner, the ball was accurately injected in by Elliott Smith, which allowed Dom Chambers to
drill a hard shot from the top of the D into the bottom corner the goal increasing the score line
to 3-1.
Nomads Captain Simon Reeves half time team talk was to keep being positive and keep
putting OB’s under pressure.

Bristolians then started fighting back with several short corners, one hitting a Yate defender
on the foot on the line resulting in them being awarded a penalty flick, GK Luke Davies was
wrong footed, and the score was 3-2.
OB’s kept up the pressure with stiff defending from Dom Chambers, Ian Weller and Will
Davies, but the onslaught of short corners continued from Old Bristolians found themselves
being awarded yet another penalty flick, the flick was flicked above the head of GK Luke
Davies converting it into the roof of the net making 3-3.
On came super sub, Josh Cullum, who pushed high up the pitch, along with Paul Anderson
stretched the OB’s defence.
With time running out and players from both teams were getting tired.
Yate Nomads found another gear, Rotating in the attacking D from Nomads forward line
allowed Elliot Smith to move down the right and playing the ball into the D and Simon
Reeves got a stick onto the ball and pushing it into the net from close range to make it 4-3.
