The ladies 3rd Team had an enjoyable Summer league 2023. All our matches were played at Bradley Stoke Community School and were against other local, Bristol teams.
We didn't win every game but we certainly enjoyed the matches and it was valuable fitness and match practise for the upcoming season.
Goals were scored by Alexandra Bessex, Nicola Bruce, Heidi Bruce, Sharon Bates and Angela Turner. One memorable goal came from Heidi Bruce when she took the ball through the defence and found the net. A great solo effort.
We had fifteen players for every match so never short in numbers (and most of the time we behaved....only one card...you know who you are Willis!! Lol)
We have a 'development' team starting this year which will give more players the opportunity to experience ladies hockey and bring on some promising junior players.
Helen and I are joint captains this season and we're looking forward to getting started. Bring it on.
