Fundraising Day a Great Success
Every year we select a charity to support as well as raise funds for the club. As a club, we were very sad to hear the diagnosis of Graham Ellis, father and supporter of Sally Thomas-Ellis, who has been playing for the club for nearly 31 years, to pulmonary fibrosis. Therefore, this year's charity selection was Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis.
The day involved many fun games and was enjoyed by all ages groups, ranging from under eights to seniors. Club members, parents, and friends all got involved. A total of £921 was raised for the charity - thank you to all who contributed.
In addition to our club day, one of our longstanding members, Vicki Haigh also pledged to cycle 10 miles for every year Sally has been a member of the club and is raising funds for the charity through this challenge. We wish Vicki all the luck with her challenge!
