08/02/2010 U14 girls squad vs Thornbury
Girls U14s played a fixture against Dursley / Thornbury and ran out 3-1 winners. Again it is not often that we have fielded U14s, as the Avon League has been geared towards U13 and U15, and the main difference was playing together as an 11 a side on a full sized pitch.
The girls gelled very well together and there were excellent performances all through the team, from GK Raisa Daya, to Katherine Edwards in defence, to Zoe Cullum in midfield, and to Megan Diamond in attack, who scored two clinical goals, with the first goal coming from Isabella Joy. The younger girls in the squad enjoyed the experience and challenge of playing in new conditions.
