08/02/2010 Inaugural U18 match for girls
Yate under 18 14 v Old Bristolians 0
In their very first U18 match, Yate fielded a very strong under 18 side in what turned out to be a one sided match against Old Bristolians.
Pippa Barnes totally dominated the midfield field connecting well with Amy Sweet until injury forced her to retire from the game, between them they scored 9 goals, Claire Buckland also scored making the half time score 10 - 0.
In the second half Yate scored 4 further goals through Charlotte Dando, Amy Sweet, Bethany Caley and Izzy Grimes, Rebecca Coles was also unlucky not to get on the score sheet. Jo Mackie, Alaina Herbert, Rosie Belcher and Georgia Haines Woodhouse had little to do in defence but they did secure a clean sheet.
Credit must go to the OB players who never gave up and played right to the end
