This match had all the makings of a nightmare and so it proved  - late notice of the date / start time, people away, e mails not read and a pitch which has seen better days. And so it proved as Yate deservedly lost.

The match was see-saw throughout, with neither defence comfortable but with Yate making more individual errors which cost us dearly at the death. The only players to emerge with their reputations enhanced were Pecker and Matt Child.

However, my thanks to Charlie Patterson and Andy Moody who turned out for us at the last moment as a favour and performed well.
